A new method to determine the safety protective range of lightning arresters is to divide the protective range of lightning arresters into two sections:safe lightning falling and safe protective ranges.As the protected object is within the safe protective range of the lightning arresters,the lightning fell within the safe lightning falling range will hit on the arresters.The method correctly determines the protective range of the arresters without circle lightning harm.
