Manual programming can not meet the requirement of timely factory production now, and the accuracy and the reliability of the manual programs can not be ensured. This article describes the main technical difficulties and their solutions which were encountered during the course of the research & development of CAM system for the machinery of the casings of steam turbines on the Pro/engineer general software platform.
