After constructions of furnace and burners in a tangentially fired utility boiler have been simplified, rotating velocity and rotation momentum of isothermal hot rotating airflow in furnace were obtained by means of mathematics deduction method. Thus, characteristics of isothermal hot rotating airflow bending upwards in furnace of a tangentially fired utility boiler were discussed and analyzed, which is very helpful for actual boiler performance.
