Perinatal HBsAg infection of infants was mainly from mother to baby. In the observation of two years, this study had found that most of the babies born by HBsAg positive mothers were infected with HBsAg three months after birth. There was positive correlation between the frequency of infection and the titer of mother′s HBsAg. This indicates that interruption of perinatal transmission must be put on the newborns of HBsAg positive mothers.
