To the problem of large air leakage of hood rotary type air preheater and in connection with the specific situation in Jingmen Thermal power plant,the demonstration of various modification methods and its explorative procedare for hood rotary type air preheater were introduced.The localized modification could not only reduce the air leakage rate but also lower the cost.It can be used for reference to the power plant having the same kind of air preheater.
