The mineralogy and the physicochemical properties of attapulgite, including adsorption, rheological and plastic properties were introduced in this article. In addition, application of attapulgite in chemical industry, fertilizer, agricature pesticide, textile, feeding stuff, plastic and rubber, environmental protection, mining, architecture, dopes and dyestuff was described.
