Based on BSD Packet Filter architecture, the authors give a brief introduction to Libpcap APIs and then present a general sniffer design built on these APIs. Through this series of articles, the authors want to elucidate the overall design approaches of sniffer softwares and give somewhat help to software engineers. ;;
