远程教育是教育体系的重要组成部分,是实现全民教育和终身学习的不可缺少的教育手段。随着90年代互联网(Internet)在全世界的迅速发展,远程教育也从传统的函授和广播电视等方式逐渐向互联网方向发展,正在成为互联网应用领域中最重要的应用之一。文章以面向对象的数据库和多媒体技术为基础,讨论了建设基于互联网的现代远程教育平台的思想和结构,并结合作者率领的课题组所研制的相应产品,介绍了现代远程教育平台的开发思路。

Distance learning is a important part of education system,it is a necessary instrumentality for civil and life education.In90's,with the development of Internet in the world speedy,distance learning has developed from teaching by correspondence,broadcast and television to through the Internet,and has becoming the one of the most important ap-plication fields of the Internet.Based on Object-Oriented Database and Multimedia Technology,this article discusses the thought and structure of the platform of the modern distance learning through the Internet.Coalescent relative product developed by author and his technology group,this article introduces the development thought of the platform of the modern distance learning.
