加快发展西部高等教育的新思路

New Approaches of Promoting Higher Education in the West

西部大开发的首要任务是对西部人力资源的开发,因此应该加快西部教育,特别是西部高等教育。然而,西部经济落后,不仅缺钱,更缺师资,而且交通不便,地广人稀,难以按传统方式办学。笔者以为加快发展西部高等教育必须要有新思路,西部在大力引进资金的同时应像深圳市办“虚拟大学”园那样利用信息化手段建立与全国名校相联接的西部高等教育网络,实现以师资为主的高等教育资源全国共享。

Since the principal task of developingthe west is to develop humanresources,education e-specially higher education should be promoted.However,it's difficult to run higher education in a tra-ditional way in the west because not only moneyand teachers resources are short,but also transportati-on is unconvenientdue to the backwarddevelopmentof economyin the west.This paper argues that new approachesshould be tried to develop education in the west,namelyfollowing the way of Shengzhen,an'invented college park'--ahigher education net whichis linked with the famousuniversity all over our country should be set up so as to share higher education resources such as teachers resources by using informationmethodswhile attracting capital to the west to develop education
