意识流是风行于 2 0世纪二三十年代独具创造性的文艺理论与创作方法。它完全脱离传统的轨道 ,摒弃对客观事物的具体描写 ,强调人的主观感受。本文通过对英国作家弗吉尼亚·伍尔夫的意识流精品《达洛卫夫人》的创作风格和写作技巧的阐述 ,表明意识流小说并非文人雅士的孤芳自赏 ,而是深入人物内心世界 ,表现现代人内心感受的多样性与复杂性 。

Stream of consciousness was a creative theory of literature and unique way of writing which was popular in the twenties and thirties of last century. It completely broke loose from tradition, abandoning concrete description of objective reality and emphasizing human beings subjective feelings. Through the illustration of artistic style and technique of Mrs. Dalloway, this thesis shows that stream of consciousness was a pioneering undertaking which could go deep into characters' heart, manifest variety and complexity of characters' inner world and actually reveal the truth of soul.
