The UK's direct investment in Wuhan leads in the items and total capitals in the European countries. Taking the UK's enterprises as samples, the paper analyzes the investment background, regional advantages, and then surveys the general investment situation and characters. The paper focuses on the enterprises environment, the growth of modern enterprises and the managers' quality for the reasons why the results are not satisfactory, It shows the managers' quality is great important to the development of the enterprises. Finally, the paper suggests that it is urgent for Wuhan's municipal government to change ideas, cultivate various markets, improve the server quality, and to accelerate the economic development in accordance with the principle of 'developing new enterprises while stabilizing old ones through innovation.
