进入信息时代 ,信息成为社会最重要的财富 ,但目前因特网上的信息混乱无序 ,既影响信息利用的效率 ,又造成信息资源的严重浪费。正在全球兴起的数字图书馆因其在技术上具有资源内容的组织方式、标引方法和检索手段等方面的先进性而备受青睐。我国的数字图书馆建设虽起步较晚 ,但借鉴了发达国家的成熟经验又兼顾了我国的国情 ,近年来取得了长足的发展 ,只要加大投入 ,加快步伐 ,我国完全有可能在这方面赶上发达国家 ,这对于在全球范围内展示中华优秀文化具有极其重要的意义。

Information has become the most important wealth of the society when we come into the informattion era.Unfortunately,the information on current Internet has fallen into confusion and orderless,which not only has had affected information efficency but also results in serious waste of information resources.The digital libraries emerging on the world have attracted much attention because of their advanced organizational mechanism for resource contents,indexed strategies and archival facilities.Although the digital libraries in our country have been set up late,the great progress has been made in recent years since the successful experiences from other advanced countries are adopted and the current situations of our country are concerned.As long as we put more efforts and speed up forward,it is certain that we can catch up with advanced countries in this field.It is of the most significance for exhibiting our excellent cultures to the world.
