摘要
HPGeγ探测器的γ射线能量信号与 4πΔEβ 探测器的 β射线能损信号相符合 ,再与大的BGO探测的正电子湮灭 5 11keVγ射线信号作反符合 ,由此构成的特殊探测系统在新丰中子核素2 0 9Hg的首次观察中起到了重要作用 。
ray signals detected by a HPGe detector were coincided with β-ray signals detected by a 4πΔ E β detector, and anticoincided with 511keV γ-ray from positron annihilation detected by a large BGO detector. This special coincident-anticoincident system was proved to be very successful in suppressing interfering γ- and β- rays emitted from β-deficient siotpes, and has played an important role in the obervation of the new neutron-rich nuclide 209 Hg.
