This paper introduces the Analog Device ADMC331 which is a single chip motor controller consisting of a 16 bit DSP core and a peripheral set carefully chosen to match the requirements of motor control. It is suitable for motor control because of its processing power and the low cost. The characteristics of three PMW signals and their generating methods are also discussed.
