The Problem of Old-Age Care in Urban China: Case Studies of Beijing

以北京为个案的调查和研究显示 ,老人家庭的空巢化和高龄化成为中国都市社会养老问题面临的双重挑战。老年照料体系应以老年人自助互助为原则 ,以家庭支助为基础 ,以社区服务为依托 ,以国际和政府的法律、法规。

Case studies conducted in Beijing shows that aging and old people living separately with their adult children have become a dual challenge for urban Chinas old age care. The old age care system should take self aid as the principle, family aid as the basis, community service as support, international and governmental laws, regulations and policies as a guarantee.
