Since the reform and open- up policy was carried out in China, Shangjing People' s Hospital has made great development under the spirit of being pragmatic and realistic. Meanwhile, based on social demands the leaders of this hospital actively investigate and study various service fields, including medical care, epidemic prevention, community service and hospital operations, and have achieved encouraging results. This article sums up their experience and proposes a valuable mode and experience for the construction of township medical institutions across the country, especially in the developed regions.
