The growth kinetics and the stability of synergistic films of benzotriazole (BTA) and halide ion (X -) were investigated by bulk acoustic wave (BAW) method.The results show that only I - in halide ions (F -,Cl -,Br -,I -) has synergistic effect with BTA and improves greatly the inhibition efficiency and film stability of BTA in 0.1M H 2SO 4 aqueous solution.Additionally,the film growth behavior of BTA is affected obviously by I - ion.
