文学作品翻译的理想境界是“化境”,本文从“内”与“外”,也即形式与内容两个方面,并结合优秀翻译工作者应具备的三个素质,谈如何达到“化境”。以形象生动的例子论证了文学作品的翻译应求神似而非单纯的形似。

The ideal in literary translation is to produce consummate translating works. This article discusses how to attain the ideal state from 'inner'and 'outer'characteristics(that is,form and content)of translation combined with three qualities which an excellent translator should acquire. The article includes vivid examples to prove that literary translation should pursuit likeness in spirit rather than only in appearance.
