Application and Research of Cognitive Strategies in English Teaching

研究表明，成功的外语学习者在学习中都善于使用必要的认知策略，因此在外语教学中，教师应充分利用学生在学习语言时的主观能动性，着重培养学生认知策略的使用能力，特别是在课文教学中，教师要因势利导，加强认知策略训练与培养，提高他们分析解决问题的能力。

Research shows that successful foreing language learners are good at using necessary cognitive strategies in their learning. Thus, the author suggests, in English teaching, the student's competence of using cognitive strategies should be stressed, and the development of it is also discussed.
