Arts and crafts are not only a phenomenon, but also an idea. Personal experience is far from enough to meet the demand of generality in defining arts and crafts. In order to realize the essence of arts and crafts we must use dialectical method and examine them with an eye on the course of their development so as to get into their spiritual layer. At the same time we must study them under the wider vision of human aesthetic development before we can understand their value and significance.
