Distribution of Displaced Amacrine Cells in the Ganglion Cell Layer of Chick Retina

摘要 利用 Nissl染色、视神经溃变试验和计算机图像处理的方法 ,研究了 30日龄鸡 ( P30 )视网膜移动性无长突细胞 ( displaced amacrine cells,d ACs)的形态、数量和密度分布。结果表明 ,鸡 d ACs位于视网膜节细胞层 ,为淡染的小神经元 ,细胞体呈圆形或卵圆形。细胞总数约 1 .9× 1 0 6 个 ,占视网膜节细胞层细胞总数的32 %。平均细胞密度为 4 50 0个 /mm2 ,但在视网膜中央和背侧部分别有中央高密度区 ( CA,580 0个 /mm2 )和背侧高密度区 ( DA,32 0 0个 /mm2 ) ,而视网膜周边部的 d ACs密度低 ,约为 2 2 0 0个 /mm2 (颞侧视网膜 ,TP) The distribution, number and size of displaced amacrine cells (dACs) were studied using Nissl staining, retrograde cell degeneration with axotomy of the optic nerve, and image analysis by a computer in the retina of chick (posthatching day 30, P30). The dACs of chick were found in the ganglion cell layer of retina and were small neurons, which had round or oval somata and were stained homogeneously by cresyl violet. The total number of these cells was 1.9×10 6 cells and accounted for 32% of total cells in the ganglion cell layer. The cell density was 4 500 cells/mm 2 on average. However, two high density areas corresponding to the central retina (CA, 5 800 cells/mm 2) and dorsal retina (DA, 3 200 cells/mm 2) were detected, and a center peripheral graduation (2 200 cells/mm 2 in temporal periphery) was observed. The distribution and number of dACs in the chick retina were discussed in comparison with those of other vertebrates.
