The article introduced the basic concept of Management Information System(MIS) and putforward the necessity of developing and applying MIS to meet the needs of social development, diseaseprevention and control, and health reform. There have been some advantages to develop and use MISin disease prevention and control, such as scientific management foundation, leaders,attention, thepersonnel with high quality and practice experience and so on.
