Based on engineering practice, discusses som e characteristics of air conditioning design in large space buildings with light s teel frames. Alleges that using direct expansion systems will simplify the desig n of indoor air distribution to make the air conditioning equipments compatible with the building itself. A technical and economic analysis on a project demonst rates the feasibility of this viewpoint.
