摘要
通过实验研究了大能量激光束对光纤连接头和光纤端面的烧蚀作用。烧蚀主要发生在铜质连接头与石英光纤纤芯之间的粘合剂区域 ,并且部分烧蚀产物沉积在光纤端面上。实验表明 ,激光能量耦合效率η随激光束的作用次数n的增加而呈指数衰减 ,即 η =n-γ或 η =a +bexp(-λn)。
The ablation of optical fiber connector and end face by a high energy laser beam were studied through experiment. The ablation mainly takes place in the binder region between metal connector and quartz fiber core, and a part of ablating products was deposited on the end face of optical fiber. The experiment results expressed that the coupling efficiency of laser energy (η)will be attenuated in the exponential formula with repeating number ( n ) of laser pulse, such as η=n -γ or η=a+b exp (-λn).
