广东潮汕地区工夫茶与食管癌的关系

Relationship between Congou tea and esophageal cancer in Chaoshan region of Guangdong, China

目的 调查工夫茶与食管癌的关系。方法 在中国潮汕地区进行了病例 -对照研究 ,包括12 4 8例食管鳞状细胞癌病例及 12 4 8例同年龄、性别的对照。结果 在调整了职业、居住地、经济收入、饮酒和吸烟后 ,观察到女性饮工夫茶对食管癌有明显的保护效应 (OR=0 .16 ;95 % CI:0 .0 7～ 0 .4 0 ) ,以及危险度随工夫茶消费增加而下降的趋势 (P <0 .0 1)。在男性中发现相似的结果 (OR=0 .38;95 % CI:0 .14～ 1.0 2 ;趋势检验 :P <0 .0 1)。分析了工夫茶与吸烟或饮酒之间的联合暴露效应 ,结果显示 ,在给定吸烟或饮酒水平下 ,重度饮工夫茶者的食管癌危险度低于轻度饮茶者 ,但没有剂量 -反应趋势。结论 工夫茶可能降低饮酒 。

Objective To investigate the role of Chinese Gongfu tea in the epiology of esophageal cancer. Methods A large case control study was conducted in Chaoshan region of China, which is one of high incidence of esophageal cancer. The study included 1 248 patients with squamous cell carcinoma of the esophagus and 1 248 controls matched by sex and age. Results A protective effect of Congou tea drinking on esophageal cancer was observed among women(OR= 0.16; 95% CI: 0.07~0.40 ), and this risk decreased(P for trend less than 0.01) as Congou tea consumption increased, after adjusting for the effects of occupation, areas of residence, income, alcohol and cigarette. Among men, the similar results were also observed(OR=0.38; 95% CI: 0.14 ~1.02; P for trend less than 0.01). The results of analysis for joint exposure to the Congou tea and alcohol or cigarette indicate that given alcohol or cigarette level, risk for light Congou drinkers is less than that for heavy Congou drinkers. Conclusions The results suggest that Congou tea may substantively reduce risk of esophageal cancer for alcohol drinkers and smokers, especially for the late. This is the first report on relationship between Congou tea and smoke or drink.
