Under network environment, electronic mail is applied to the editing of journals. The pattern of the editing based on the function of network information exchange is formed. By which the labour intensity of editorial staff can be cut down; the period during which the manuscripts turn round can be shortened; and the on-line connection with various databases can be extended.
