It is a hot study issue in recent years to build commodity PC cluster system in order to get low priced and high performance parallel computers. A cluster has many advantages, including better usability, availability, scalability, and high performance/cost. There are four important issues in clusters: availability support, single system image, job management, and efficient communication. They are active research and development topics.
