With the comparison between the two kinds of prevailing developing environments ASP and JSP that used on Web, this paper discusses the differences between ASP and JSP mainly in the independence of running platform, program structures, the combination with expanding packages and the way to access data. It also explains the superiority showed by these aspects, and points out the exploriation of Web application programs based on JSP that is the direction of development in the future.
