To write the history of Chinese Literature again ' has been the theoretical responsibility and the aesthetical consiousness of the contemporary historcans of the Chinse literature.A fatal mistake has been made to the traditional periodicality as to the division of the present or contemporary literature owing to its lack of the bases on the history scinece and its literature with a whole-viewpoint from the 20th century literature in our minds or on our booksheves,A framework has been established by 'the TWO Great Discussions'and 'the Three Tides and Tideways of Literature and Arts'for the division of the history of Chinese literature in the 20th century.
