Carrying out the quality education in an all-round way is the inexorable trend in deepening the reform of higher education.This paper elaborates the origin and connotation of the quality education and tries to explore the possibility of applying quality education to teaching college English.The purpose is to develop the educatees' innate potential capabilities to attain the goal of raising their comprehensive capacity and culture taste.
