民族语文与民族现代化——以新疆锡伯族为例

一些人口较少的民族 ,如今在语言选择和使用方面出现了逐渐转用强势语言、放弃本民族语言文字的趋势 ,新疆的锡伯族便是其中一例。锡伯族母语文使用功能衰退的原因与其本民族中普遍存在民族语文“无用论”、“过时论”的思想有关。而历史的经验证明 ,语言文字不存在过时与落后的问题 ,它是一种文化 ,应保留民族语言文字 ,使之成为少数民族实现现代化的有力工具。

At present, some ethnic minorities with a small number of populations have a tendency that they are using powerful languages, and even giving up using native languages and characters.Xibe nationality in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region is one of the cases. The using function of Xibe ethnic language is declining because lots of ethnic people of Xibe have the wrong idea that the ethnic language is useless and out of date. However, the historical experiences have demonstrated that languages and cha racters dont have outdated or backward problems. They belong to cultures. We should remain ethnic languages and characters, and make them powerful instruments of modernization of ethnic minorities. [
