谜语起源于歌谣。歌谣与诗（包括歌谣谜与诗谜）关系密切，前者促进了后者的产生和发展，后者对前者也有一定影响。诗谜独立于歌谣谜后，除与歌谣谜的共同点外，也具有自己的特色。
Riddles originated from ballads. So far as ballads and poems, including ballad riddles and POem rid- dles, are concerned,the former helps bring about the emergence and development of the latter while the lat- ter has some influence on the former. Since poem riddles were separated from ballad riddles,they have pos- sessed some distinctive features of their own in addition to their common ground.
