On the Continuum Hypothesis and the ZFC System of Axioms

连续统假设是Hilbert著名的 2 3个问题的第一个问题。本文深入浅出地阐述了这一问题的研究历史和现状 ,同时简要介绍了与之有关的ZF公理系统、选择公理等问题 。

The continuum hypothesis is the first of the famous 23 problems by Hilbert. In this paper, the author explains the past and present researches on this problem and introduces in simple terms some concerning problems: the ZF system of axioms, the axiom of choice and so on. Finally the author points out that these problems are of great significance in the study of the fundamentals of mathematics.
