Self-discipline:The Basic Way to Construct Professional Morality of the Press

加强职业道德建设 ,可从他律和自律两方面着手 ,在一定条件下他律可产生立竿见影的效果 ,然而其局限性也是显而易见的。道德规范的他律性只有转换为道德主体的自律 ,才有道德意义可言。由于新闻职业的特殊性 ,加强自律应是其职业道德建设的根本途径。加强自律即要在内心中建立正确的道德法庭 ,并具有正确的判断能力等。而强化道德教育、理论修养等是加强自律的必要条件 ,与此同时还要澄清一些认识上的误区。

The construction of professional morality can be accomplished from two aspects : discipline and self-discipline. Under certain circumstances,discipline may achieve instant results while its limitations are too obvious. Only when the moral paradigm of discipline is converted to the self-discipline of the moral subject can the significance of the morality be realized.Due to the specialty of the press occupation to strengthen self-discipline is the basic means to establish professional morality. Strengthening self-discipline requires the correct moral court and correct judgement. While some misunderstandings are to be clarified, the necessary requisite to strengthen self-disicipline is to reinforce moral education and theoretical cultivation.
