关联理论对语用翻译的启示

Enlightenment of Pragmatic Translation in the Relavance Theory

关联理论中有关交际的推理特性、文本语境、最佳关联、语言的解释性使用等一些基本概念体现了翻译作为语言的解释性使用的观点以及原语文本和译语文本解释性相似的观点。关联理论还反映出了文本分类作为关联向导、翻译的概念以及如何处理翻译过程中基于语境的问题。所以 ,从关联理论的角度来探讨这些语用问题有助于更好地把握语用翻译的本质 ,进而指导翻译实践。

This paper approaches pragmatic translation from the perspective of the theory of relativity in communication. For this purpose we first introduce a few essential concepts of this theory, such as the inferential nature of communication, context, optimal relevance and the like. Then, we deal with the pragmatic role of the notion of translation: translation as an interpretive use of language, text typologies as guides to relativity, context-based problems in translation, and other. We hold that this study will help us better understand the nature of pragmatic translation, and thus increase the success of likelihood in our translation work.
