On the Differences between Pun and Ambiguity in English

双关和歧义在形式上存在相似之处 ,即都是一种语言形式表达两种或两种以上的意义。但是它们是语言学中两个不同的概念 ,歧义和双关的差异主要表现在研究范围、说写者的主观意愿、语境及时空的一致性等四个方面。

There are some similarities between pun and ambiguity, both of which are represented as the same patterns of the language of two or more meanings. However, there are two different concepts. Their differences mainly lie in the following four aspects: the research field, subjective desire of the writer or speaker, context and consistence in time and space.
