On the affinity of literature for music

文学与音乐本是同根生成 ,正如书画同源。古今中外的艺术史实表明 ,音乐离不开文学 ,文学也离不开音乐。文学应该是具有音乐性的文学 ,音乐也应该是具有文学性的音乐 ,二者分离便都不是艺术。因此 ,我们要求诗人作家们应该通晓音律 ,音乐工作者也应该具备扎实的文学功底 ,做到以文养艺。

Literature and music have evolved from the same source:human society and people's life,so do the calligraphy and parinting.The history of arts in China and foreign countries shows that literature and music have cose connection and they are interdependent.Literature involves some nature of music and music enbodies certaing feature of literature.If literature and music comlpetely were seperated,literature would be of qualified art. The article has drawn of a conclusion that writers and poets should have profound knowledge of music and temperament,and musicians should lay a solid foundation of leterature.
