张岱作为明朝晚期的小品文作家 ,其作品既有当时小品文的共同特点 :不事雕琢、自然天成、笔调淡雅、情悠韵远 ;又有其独到之处 :看似平淡却亦奇 ,看似浓艳却亦雅 ,在中国小品文的发展史上占有一定的地位。

Zhang Dai is an essayist in the late Ming Dynasty. His essays have the same features as his contemporaries: natural and simple, and his own specific characters, simple but outstanding, gaudy but elegant.
