This paper makes analysis and comparison on the function and characteri-stics of domestic and foreign stone dumpers on the sea and underwater machi nery leveling of foundation bed, as well as the new trends of riprapping and leveling work. It may be of help to the port engineering in our country to speed up the construction work and promote the technical skill.
