A high water-obsorbent polyacrylonitrile was obtained by suspension polymerization using AIBN as initiator. The amount of crosslinking agent and conditions of alkaline hydrolysis have great effects on water-absorbency. The deionized-water absorbency of the products is about 420g/g,The average diameter of the products is 250μm.
