Experience of “Old China”and the “New China” Road:Yang Chongrui and the Rise of Theory and Practice in Maternal and Child Health in China

今天"中国道路"的选择与过去"中国经验"的总结密切联系,中国妇幼卫生理论与实践便是其中重要体现。首先,现代中国妇幼卫生的理论与实践同中国古代妇产医学中的预防保健思想有关。其次,它受益于近代西医东渐后的公共卫生学及西方妇产科临床医学。第三,随着现代国家妇幼卫生行政的建立与健全,杨崇瑞跨越1949年的开拓性探索与总结非常重要。中国妇幼卫生理论与实践在吸收"旧中国"经验的基础上,开辟出一条符合国情的"新中国"道路。

The choice of "China Path" today is directly related to the "experience China had" in the past,of which the theory and practice of maternal and child health is a clear representation.Firstly,the theory and practice of maternal and child health in modern China is connected to the idea of prevention and care in ancient Chinese maternity medicine.Secondly,these theory and practice are benefited from public health integrating western medicine,especially gynecology and clinical medicine.Thirdly,along with the improvement of contemporary state maternal and child health administration,Yang Chongrui’s breakthrough experiment in 1949 was critical.The Chinese theory and practice of maternal and child health have opened a path appropriate for "New China"based on the integration of experiences of "Old China".
