The Development of the Private Economy in China from 1978 to 2018:development stages,effectiveness and promotion countermeasures

改革开放以来,我国私营经济从无到有,经历了萌芽、探索、快速发展、调整转型与提质增效五个阶段,已发展成为社会主义市场经济的重要组成部分,在激发市场活力、拉动经济增长、增加就业等方面均发挥重要作用。回顾四十年发展历程,私营经济经营领域拓宽、营业自由改善、创新驱动增强、产业结构优化以及国际竞争力显著增强。展望未来,仍需要从加快建立市场准入制度、努力建立新型的政商关系、加强引导和扶持、推动私营经济加快产业转型升级和技术创新等方面着手,以促使私营经济更加健康和可持续的发展。

Since the reform and opening up,China's private economy has experienced five stages:germination,exploration,rapid development,adjustment and transformation,and quality improvement.It has developed into an important part of the socialist market economy and plays an important role in stimulating market vitality,stimulating economic growth and increasing employment.Looking back on the development process of the past forty years,the private economy has achieved remarkable results in terms of broadening of business areas,improvement of business freedom,enhancement of innovation drive,optimization of industrial structure and enhancement of international competitiveness.Looking into the future,we still need to accelerate the establishment of market access system to further broaden market access,further optimize the business environ- ment of private enterprises,strengthen the guidance and support for private enterprises,and promote the private economy to accelerate industrial transformation and upgrading and technological innovation so as to pro-mote a longer-term,healthy develooment of the orivate economy.
