Research and Improvement on Movable Mura of FFS LCD

TFT-LCD中面板的显示不均现象一直是存在的,只是程度上各有轻重,此显示不均的现象我们统称为“mura”,其造成的原因和状态也是各不相同。按压movable mura主要是指触摸按压屏幕,mura随触摸位置移动,压力消失后mura不能恢复,低灰阶或关机状态下均明显可见。提高灰阶后,调回暗态mura也不可消失。此mura主要存在于IPS/FFS显示模式中。本文主要对此mura的产生机理进行探讨和实验论证。最终提出改善方向:提升IPS/FFS LCD显示面板的液晶量,优化PS设计。

The panel display inconformity in TFT-LCD has always been existed,whichis called ’mura’. The reason to cause mura and the degree of each one is different. Pressing movable mura means when we press the screen,the mura will move with the touch position. It will not recover after the pressure disappears,and we can see the mura in low gray scale or off state. When the grey scale is increased,the mura will not disappear in dark state. Such kind of mura exists mostly in IPS/FFS display mode. This paper mainly discusses and demonstrates the mechanism of this mura. Finally,it proposes the improvement solution:increase the liquid crystal quantity of IPS/FFS LCD display panel and optimize the PS density design.
