张赞宸是我国近代史上著名的实业家和洋务运动推进的代表人物,曾任湖北省候补知县、汉阳铁厂会办银钱股事、铁厂提调兼稽核、铁厂总董、萍乡煤矿总办、天津银行总办要职。萍乡煤矿是张赞宸一手勘查、筹办、发展起来的。萍乡煤矿的建成,不仅解决了困扰汉阳铁厂发展的焦炭供应难题,走上自主发展的道路,而且还使其迅速发展壮大,成为我国最早采用机械生产、运输、洗煤、炼焦的新式煤矿,被列为"中国十大厂矿"[1]之一,位居全国第三。萍乡煤矿的开创实践,使张赞宸成为一个卓越的企业领导者,成就了其职业生涯中最光辉的篇章,安源从此名扬四海。

Zhang Zanchen is a famous industrialist in the modem history of China and a representative of the advancement of the Westernization Movement.He used to be the county magistrate candidate in Hubei Province, financial manager,controller and auditor,the general board of Hanyang Iron Works,the general manager of Pingxiang Coal Mine and Bank of Tianjin.Investigated,prepared and developed by Zhang Zanchen,Pingxiang Coal Mine not only solved the coke supply problem that plagued the development of Hanyang Iron Works,but also stepped on the road of independent development,and grew up rapidly.It became the first new coal mine in China to adopt machinery production,transportation,coal washing and coking,ranking third in the list of "China's top ten factories and mines".The pioneering practice of Pingxiang Coal Mine has made Zhang Zanchen an outstanding business leader,who has achieved the most glorious chapter in his career.From then on, Anyuan has become well-known all over the country.
