17—20世纪,部分英国来华传教士在了解中医的疗效后,开始关注和研究中医,并着手向西方介绍和传播中医药知识。他们的介绍和传播活动主要围绕中医脉学知识、针灸学知识、中药知识、预防医学知识、中医综合知识等方面展开。这些活动对于中医在西方的后期广泛传播产生了深远影响,但其中也包括一些对中医的负面介绍,产生了一些负面影响。通过梳理这段历史,对当今中医的对外传播有一定的借鉴作用。

During the time between 17^th-20^th century,some British missionaries began to recognize the effect of TCM and set about their research,introduction and transmission of TCM to the western world.These activities mainly cover the fields of pulse knowledge,acupuncture and moxibustion,Chinese materia medica, TCM prevention knowledge and comprehensive knowledge of TCM.The transmission work of missionaries during this period exerts great influence,either positive or negative,on later TCM spreading around the world.Analysis of these historical facts can shed light on modern TCM spreading and transmission around the world.
