高低语境文化视角下中美言语交际风格的对比研究

A Comparative Study on the Verbal Communication Styles between Chinese and Americans in High/Low-Context Culture

随着世界全球化的不断发展,交流也日益频繁。在跨文化交际中,不同的文化背景是导致交流冲突和失败的主要原因。由于中美两国之间存在着巨大的文化差异,研究文化和语境的差异是研究中美言语交际的基本前提。语境在跨文化交际中起着不可或缺的关键作用,不同的语境同时也决定了不同的言语交际方式和风格。中国是典型的高语境文化,而美国则属于低语境文化。研究中美言语交流的问题,可以从语境入手,从不同的语境文化中来探究中美之间言语交际风格的差异。

Under the background of globalization, communication between different cultures is becoming more frequent. Intercultural differences are the main causes of the conflicts and failures in cross-cultural communication.The cultural context is very important in the intercultural communication. There are great differences between China and America in culture. The study of the cultural differences between Chinese and American is the basic prerequisite for Sino-American communication. Context is the place and stage of cultural communication, and different contexts determine different ways and styles of communication. China belongs to the high context and the America belongs to the low context. This paper mainly studies the construction between Chinese and Americans in terms of the High-Context and Low-Contrast Cultures.
