The Application of the Gambiered Canton Silk Textiles in the Modern Household

香云纱即莨绸是中国传统的生态纺织面料,随着工业技术的发展,莨绸逐渐被机织面料取代。为了对传统文化和工艺技术的保护,本文提出将莨绸纺织品与现代家居设计相结合,从绿色生态设计理论出发,分析现代家居纺织品的运用现状和传统莨绸材质的发展概况,并以新古典主义家居风格为例,探讨莨绸在家居整体风格中所营造的装饰效果。从莨绸的原料属性,工艺制作,色彩图案等方面为传统纺织品在家居设计中的应用提出新的思路,为传统织造技艺的传承提供更宽广的发展方向。

Gambiered Canton Silk is the Chinese traditional ecological textile fabrics. With the development of industrial technology, it’s gradually replaced by woven fabrics. In order to protect traditional culture and technology, this paper proposes to combine Gambiered Canton Silk textiles with modern household design. Based on the theory of green ecological design, this paper analyzes the application of modern household textiles and the development of traditional Gambiered Canton Silk fabric. Taking neoclassicism home style as an example, it explores the adornment effect of Gambiered Canton Silk in our household style. Through analyzing the silk’s properties of raw materials, production process, color pattern, etc, a new thought is put forward for the application of traditional textile in household design, to provide broader development direction for the inheritance of traditional weaving techniques.
