Retro Innovation of Furniture Shape of the Song Dynasties from High Model Furniture

中国自夏朝开始在中国几千的发展过程中,人们一直保持着以席地而坐为主的生活方式,直至宋代垂足而坐逐步成熟。宋代作为高型家具发展成熟的关键时期,在中国古代家具发展史中扮演着承前启后的重要角色,溯本求源,缺少此时的积累,明式家具的繁荣便是无源之水。通过分析两宋时期社会背景以及高型家具发展成熟的原因,探究了北宋与南宋高型家具发展的阶段性特征与差异,同时明确了两宋高型家具形制发展过程中的复古与创新,对于传统家具形制借鉴的现代化家具设计具有积极地促进作用。

Since the beginning of xia Danasty, people have kept their lifestyle of sitting on the ground. The Song Dynasty, as a key period for the development and maturity of high model furniture, played an important role in the development history of Chinese furniture. If lacking the accumulation at this period, the prosperity of Ming style furniture is like water without a source. By analyzing social background of the Song Dynasties and the reason for the high model furniture development, this paper explores the stage characteristics and differences of high model furniture of the Song Dynasties in the process of shape evolution. It can help draw lessons from the traditional furniture shapes and promote the modern furniture design.
