On the Public Dimension of Historical Materialism

以往对历史唯物主义所蕴涵的公共性维度关注不够,因此有必要从哲学的高度作进一步的研究。阐明历史唯物主义的公共性维度的关键是深入把握唯物史观的内涵,讲清楚马克思主义所言的"公共性"的基本涵义。马克思通过"人类社会"对"市民社会"的超越,"世界历史"对"民族历史"的超越,"我们"对"我"的超越,彰显了历史唯物主义的公共性维度。在21世纪,构建人类命运共同体是历史唯物主义公共性维度的时代表达,也是当代中国对历史唯物主义的原创性贡献。

History is a unique survival mode for humanity.People create human history;they are not only the playwrights of history,but also the dramatic personae of history.However,in the prior efforts to understand historical materialism,scant attention was given to its public dimension.Therefore,it is necessary to conduct in-depth research and further clarify the public dimension of historical materialism from the perspective of philosophy.If we wish to continue to write a new chapter for historical materialism,we must develop and innovate 21 st-century Marxism and contemporary Chinese Marxism.Transforming from "I"to "us"and building a community of common destiny for all mankind are not only expressions of the era for the public dimension of historical materialism,but also original contributions of contemporary China to historical materialism.
