Analysis of Comprehensive English Course for English Majors

综合英语是高等学校英语专业的一门核心课程,具有综合性和长期性的特点,它与英语单项技能课(听说读写译课程)有重复内容,但又不同于单项技能课,其教学存在很多问题,如教学目标不容易把握,教学内容没有新意,教学实施没有特色等。本文旨在对综合英语课程进行分析,针对问题提出课程教学实施建议,提升综合英语课程教学效果。

Comprehensive English is a core course of English major in colleges and universities. It has comprehensive and long-term characteristics. It has duplicate content with English individual skills class (speaking, reading, writing and translat-ing courses), but it is different from single skill class. There are many problems, such as the teaching objectives are not easy to grasp, the teaching content is not new, and the teaching implementation has no features. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the comprehensive English curriculum, put forward suggestions for the implementation of curriculum teaching for the problem, and improve the teaching efifect of the comprehensive English curriculum.
